Saffiano Wallet Wear?

all my prada wallets have easily shown wear and tear as well... =T

ive had several prada wallets in the past, they all show wear and tear. theyre all good wallets, but if youre not careful, it will definitely show in edges. saffiano is pretty durable tho. aside from showing wear on the edges, saffiano, in time, well in my case, goes a shade darker than its original. hope this helps

I just contacted Prada an hour ago regarding the discolouration on my WOC Mine is also the pink/nude colour and seems to be doing the same thing. I asked my friend who has the bag as well but in red and she told me that hers is still in great condition unlike mine. Hopefully Prada will fix it.

I've had a saffiano zip wallet for 2 years and it looks like it's been through the blender. I'm not especially careful w it but I don't abuse it either

Does anyone have any experience? Would Prada repair it or dye it another colour?

I have a Saffiano black card case that I use to keep coins in, and I've redyed it by a local leather specialist once. I now redye it myself. It's in need of a redye again as the edges are showing a lot of wear and tear.

I don't treat the leather in any way otherwise. I don't recommend treating the leather, especially with a colour as light as the one on your wallet because some creams/oils can darken the leather.

I suggest bringing your wallet to Prada to see if they can repair or touch up the edges for you. If they can't, then just bring it to a cobbler/leather specialist and they can try their best to match the colour with one of their redying sprays.

May I know how you dye your saffiano card case? I have a white saffiano pyramid frame bowler bag that I wish to dye it black. Tried to search but couldn't find any regarding the dying technique and products use for redying saffiano bag. Thank in advance!!

I just sprayed it with Meltonian black leather spray paint that I got from the cobbler. You can dye it white too with a white spray paint. Be sure to cover the Prada hardware or else it'll be painted too.

When i had one, I wore it to the ground. I had to have it restored by the leather spa in nyc to get it to a state where I could sell it.

I have a long saffiano zip wallet in navy blue and I dropped it 2-3 times on concrete. I have it for almost 4 years now.
