Yes I was wondering if anyone's seen it IRL and if it's that metallic that looks like it would peel?
I have this bag in 2 colors. They're very sturdy & I've never had any issues with either one.

I have the exact same one. Like other posters have mentioned, it is saffiano and is metallic but very sturdy and not the kind of metallic that rubs off. I don't know if these pics help but here they are:
