Safe to mail items to LV repair? Anyone with experiences?

I live over 5 hours away from the nearest LV. I called the store in NJ and they said I can mail the bag to attn. Repairs and the bag will be examined etc. I would mail with signature required but I am still nervous. Anyone else ever do this and how did it go? How do they (LV employees) keep from mixing bags up, losing etc? Thank you

I imagine it should be okay if you send it, but I admit I was nervous to just ship my bag to them too. I was traveling to a city with an LV, so I waited to go in store, actually deal with a person and have them ship it off. I got my bag back about 1 month later. Wish you luck with whatever choose to do :smile:

Yes! I just did that with my artsy and zcp a month ago. I highly recommend insuring your item if you go this route. I did send my items with a letter and my personal information along with calling the store in advance to let them know it was being sent for repair. The repair specialist will call you when they receive the item and I instructed them to mail the item back to me once repaired (they charged $15 for this service). Louis Vuitton keeps you updated with emails letting you know the status of your repair... Here is my email on my repair:

Dear client,

We are pleased to notify you that your Louis Vuitton product has been returned to the LV ROSEVILLE SACRAMENTO store and is now available for pick up.

For further information or to arrange a personal appointment, please contact us at 1-866-VUITTON.

Best Regards,

Louis Vuitton After-Sales Service
