I was doing the rounds of my favourite bag porn sites and discovered that Saddleback have created a tote for the ladies...

I watched the demo vids and found myself very close to pulling the trigger on one of these babies. It will no doubt be indestructible like the rest of the range, making $485 a pretty good deal in my book (although duties and taxes are going to add on another £100 or so...)

Does anyone have one of these yet? I see that they're on back order, so I guess that means that people have been buying (but no testimonials on the website yet.)

What do you think to the style? I like a sturdy looking bag, but I'm not 100% sure if this bag would translate to a work environment easily. Any thoughts?

When I saw that bag I was going to shout, 'Get behind me, Satan!' But on closer inspection I decided it looked a bit too rugged for me, thank God (on a ban!). Maybe not that great a work bag, maybe a bit too Indiana Jones' daredevil sister. Really, I'm saying all this because I've just denied myself an Alexander Wang Brenda bag because of said ban :supacool:

Perhaps it's because I fancy myself as the 'Indiana Jones' daredevil sister' type that your description did nothing to dent my interest in this bag :biggrin: Where's Spielberg for input when you need her - she's quite Indy-esque in her tastes as well, IIRC.

I'm completely convinced that this bag would last a lifetime, so on a cost-per-wear basis I can easily justify it. I also like the removable lining and the hidden base stash compartment. :cool:

It's also my birthday in June, so I feel that I have another reason to splash out on a special bag. The stars are aligning!!

Gah! I may as well just admit that I'm smitten. I think I'll send an enquiry to see how long the back-order is likely to be. If it's likely to arrive before late June, I may just have to pull the trigger....:wlae:

The $485 bag comes with the removable liner, but you can buy it without, although I'm not going to.

Happy (premature!) Birthday, Lips! :yahoo: Hope your bag is as good as it looks. I like the chestnut colour. 100 year warranty? What's that about? How would you claim against that? Mind you, with all the medications nowadays...Oh, to be a marketing consultant! :lol:

Saddleback DOES give you a 100 year warranty on their products. Their bags are of such a good quality and made of amazingly thick leather, like... 1 mm of thickness.
Last summer I got the Medium Briefcase in Chestnut - loving that bag, it´s rugged, sturdy and won´t break if it falls onto the floor or gets wet or dirty - hell, I can even wash my bag with water and soap... it´s a true beater!

Which wallet did she get? I like the large wallet but it seems kinda big for everyday use, if she has it, does she use it every day?
