....I think it is, but was curious about your opinions...

I recently, as a result of this stinking sale, purchased a few saddle bag 23's. I love them and how much they hold, but OMG does that little snap flap get in my way. I actually cut it off in the one whiplash pebbled leather bag I got a couple years ago but I'm hesitant to do that with these (unsure why...anyone who sees my posts know I can never just let a bag "be"...I always have to do something to it :p).
Do you find that it gets in the way? I don't use it to snap the bag closed. I have no fear that stuff will fall out as I feel the flap is pretty secure. If I really want to keep these, I may have to perform surgery...but curious if you find the same and any suggestions you have before the scalpel comes out! :annoyed:
THANKS!

I don't know if all the storypatches are the same on all the bags, but mine is sewn down on the left and right sides with the top and bottom open. I tuck mine into the top of the storypatch. Or, if you are willing to have the zip pocket open, tuck the end of it in there. The only thing I don't like about it is that it leaves a little, round indentation in the flap when you snap it closed.

That is a great idea to tuck it in the story patch. Just did that. Unsure if it'll stay but we'll see. THANKS!

I own a Mercer, so am accustomed to the little snap flap; I don't use it either, but just leave it there-doesn't bother me that much personally.
I have a mercer also but I can still easily get in and out of it even with the snap closed. But the saddle...it just really gets in the way. So far, tucking it in the creed works...so simple yet I'd never have thought of it!

Could someone please post a pic so thick people like me can see the problem and solution?
