Someone asked a question about the Sac de Jour Baby in another thread and I thought I'd give my thoughts with photos of what fits and a size comparison with the Small. This thread is made with the intention of a point of reference. Mods feel free to move where its more appropriate. Hopefully this answers some of the questions that can be buried in the main Sac de Jour thread.
There is a vast size difference between the Small and the Baby. The Small would be considered a medium sized bag anywhere else.
Both bags are open tops. The Small has a very tight opening and a zippered middle compartment. I never had to worry about anything falling out or somebody getting their hand inside.
The Baby has a much wider opening and my bag does not have a middle compartment although there are other variations that may have an insert. I use a zippered bag organizer that works well.
This is what fits inside the Baby. With the umbrella being the exception, these are things that I carry everyday no matter which bag it is. Unless it's an evening out (rare) then this is it.
My wallet, Mini Pochette, Key pouch, sunglasses and card case. Any lotions, perfumes, wipes, earpods etc are inside the mini pochette.
Everything fits inside the organizer and is zipped. The umbrella is to the side.
As far as wearing the Baby, I don't mind hand carrying it or cross-body. I'm a little chunky so it won't be the most glamorous thing but I don't think its awkward. I do what works for me. Everybody must do what works for them. But this is how it looks. The handles are a little high but there is no problem getting in and out of the bag. It's much easier than a flap cross body with a snap or a lock. I absolutely love this bag. I really hope this post answers some of the questions asked.
