Hi all, my SA in Hawaii seems reluctant to buy things online or order things from another store and ship them to me. My SA prefers to let me buy things in store in person. I am not local so when I visit they don’t always have what I want. Do you all know why? Is it because commission is lower for shipped item or items sourced from another store? Or my SA is just lazy haha? Thanks!!

I'm guessing it's because every store works independently and order different things from the HQ. For example, if you want a popular item, and the Hawaii store doesn't have it and have to order it from the NY store, then later on the hawaii store has to give the NY store something popular in return almost like a trade. That's why the store manager prefer to sell what they've got in the store rather than order it from other places? (just my guess, probably isn't true)

They can’t order inventory from the online website unless the customer is physically in store with them to place the order. As for ordering from other stores, that used to be a simple task but with stock so low everywhere, many stores are refusing to give up items to satisfy the orders. This makes your SA look bad because you’d have to fully pay for the item and then it would just never be fulfilled and they’d have to refund you. Thus, some SAs don’t want to even try, especially if it’s a store notorious for refusing charge sends. Also, the item might just genuinely not be in stock in any store.

This exactly! Plus - Right now with low inventory, very few stores are willing to sell to non-local clients and prefer to keep inventory to themselves. Otherwise, they might not have anything to sell.

@pandapoof , I think yes, but see above post. It’s not optimal, and some SAs would rather not do it
Also, IMO it doesnt really help them to make a strong case for you for a bag. The SM would strongly prefer a client who buys merchandise in stock
