Back in 1968, the horror film genre got a huge boost from Roman Polanski’s “Rosemary’s Baby” and in 2014 NBC will bring the story to primetime television.
According to a report, the Ira Levin novel adaptation will begin filming in January in Paris, France, with the goal of making a super-creepy 4-hour miniseries.

NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke explained, "As we move into the event movie and miniseries space, Rosemary's Baby represents the kind of attention-getting, surprising project that will make noise for us."

"The story has been updated and moved to Paris, but it's faithful to the spirit of Ira Levin's classic novel. This is a compelling tale wonderfully told."
Executive VP Quinn Taylor added, "Ira Levin’s mesmerizing book was a groundbreaking reflection on how effective and influential a psychological thriller could be. We’re looking forward to adapting his incredible work and bringing those indelible characters to a new generation of viewers.”

Give me a break. LMAO

As if she didn't have enough to keep herself busy, Zoe Saldana has just recently been cast for NBC's four-hour miniseries "Rosemary's Baby."
The show will be a complete adaptation of the 1967 best-selling suspense novel by Ira Levin, and the 35-year-old cutie will play Rosemary, "The iconic young wife and would-be mother who, with her husband, moves into a Paris apartment that has a darkly storied past. After finally getting pregnant, she becomes increasingly suspicious that both her husband and their mysterious neighbors have ulterior motives about the future of her child."

In related news, the "Star Trek" beauty is currently voice recording for an upcoming animated flick named "The Book of Life," releasing on October 17th, 2014.
According to the synopsis, "An animated movie described as a Romeo and Juliet-inspired love story set during a Day of the Dead celebration."
