Rosemary or Roxanne?

Hi Karchr, I think you should ask yourself a few questions before you decide
1;Do you want a bag that will sit comfortably on your shoulder or are you happy with the shorter shoulder strap on the roxanne.
2: Will the rosemary be big enough for your needs.
3;The rosemary is a rare bag which in my opinion is a positive. The roxanne is common but definitely iconic Mulberry.
4;Is there any particular hardware/leather you were hoping for and is this available on the newer roxanne and/or older rosemary.
Maybe all this is just making the decision more difficult!

Hi Karchr- I think it depends whether you prefer a new bag or a second hand- the latter will be harder to find in good condition-a brand new roxanne would be your to love and look after from day one! I prefer new as an authentic preloved from a reputable seller will cost almost as much and there may always be little marks and wear and tear that might niggle? I have both and my second hand bags are lovely but I do prefer to buy from new- personal taste as always- I just feel its that bit more of a luxury given you are spending so much. I havent got a rosie to compare but I am quite petite and dont find the roxy too big- I love them!! (I have 4)

Have you tried the Roxanne on to see if it works for you? I bought a choc Roxanne and never bonded with it. I found it too big and boxy and remarkably heavy once filled with my stuff.
I love my Rosemary to bits, it's such a fab little bag. I love that it can be handheld or a shoulder bag and the fact that essentially it is a mini Roxanne. The outside pockets are a little bit small which could be a problem for some, depending on how much you carry or what size your mobile phone is. For what it's worth, my mobile (flip phone) fits fine and so do my keys. I find that Rosemary is the perfect size for carrying essentials with a little room to spare.

- How important are usable front pockets and what would you put in them?
- Definitely need to ask yourself what you need to fit in your bag, that should determine which size will suit you best.
Ahh...you learn something new everyday. I can't tell the difference at one glance then again I was so into it as it's a girl's bag.

I personally find Rosemary to be extremely versatile since it's comfortable over the arm or the shoulder, but of course it wouldn't be practical if it didn't fit all your stuff! I personally don't find Roxy very comfortable over the shoulder, it gives me 'chicken arm', but maybe that's because it hasn't softened up very much.

You know... when the arm above your elbow sticks out because the bag is wide. I know, I know, I'm mad! I'm off to continue breeding.... hoping for a ginger to pop out after what seems like a very long gestation period!
mini, I am currently obsessing about a Roxy or a rosy and have just read this thread of yours - HUGE thanks - really helpful indeed.
Mini, I think it has to be a Roxy for the extra room in it for my junk....I actually like the look of the Rosy better but am a big bag girl and need to be able to carry everything i may need if suddenly offered a trip to an exotic location with a gorgeous man whilst doing the shopping at Waitrose.....
