Rose Gold or Yellow Gold??? HELP!

Hi Everyone,

I've been bitten by the jewelry bug lately especially garnet rings. I saw some Victorian style rings and they are to die for especially if you love vintage. Now, I need a little help deciding. If it was up to me, I would buy both rings! It's a 3 stone garnet ring and they come in 2 different types of gold -- rose gold or yellow gold. Both are 14k. The thing is that both rings are exactly the same, same setting, same look, just different type of gold. So what do you all think!?!! HELP! I love both! :shrugs:

Agree with evekitti, it depends on your skin tone. I've heard rose gold suits certain pale skin tones but I think it really depends on the individual. It certainly is a "softer" color. The only way is to try it on and see :) If you're buying online go to a jeweller and try some pieces on.

Thanks for your replies! I was really torn between the two because when you see the garnets with the rose gold together, it really looks fabulous! Then you see the garnets with the yellow gold, it also looks great because yellow gold is always going to be classic. So I'm like errrrmmmmm.....

I am going to attach 3 pics of the rings look like. Originally I was debating between 2 rings, now it's 3 rings. The first ring is the garnets with rose gold. The 2nd and 3rd ring is in yellow gold, but the jeweller also have them in rose gold. Can't make up my mind...rose or yellow. And now, can't make my mind about which style....what do you all think? Which ring and which gold???

I think this is going to be my everyday ring or at least a ring that I will wear often.

I'm a big fan of rose gold and since I think garnet looks lovely in rose gold I think you should go with that. Of the three styles, the last is my favorite - the opals look lovely with the garnets.

I wear both (well, yeah I know about the skin tone thing). My birthstone is garnet and all my garnets were set in yellow gold. I did have happen to snag a rose gold and garnet ring. (not an expensive piece, but I love it). Since garnet is often paired with yellow, it is really neat to see it done in rose gold.

I think that garnets would look fabulous in rose gold, both having pink-red tones.

Of the rings, I like te first and second one. First one the most.

All three rings are so pretty... I can't decide which of the 3 I like better, but I know for sure that if it were me, no matter which ring I pick, I'd get it in ROSE gold!! I think it really compliments the color of the garnets.. :yes: Plus I just love rose gold. :love:
