Hi ladies, I'm about to purchase my first Rolex, which one do you prefer? Diamond markers, Roman numbers, oyster band? This is the 31, should I try a 26? Will this still look elegant with a dress? Please give me your thoughts, thanks!

I vote for the diamond markers with jubilee band. I love the jubilee band and it is very very comfortable and very elegant.

I have the 26 and love it. I did try on the 31 but didn't go with it as 1. Looking at full length Mirror, it looked out of proportion compared to the rest of me as I am very petite and the 31mm was wearing me rather than the reverse. 2. I have the diamond bezel and it makes it seem bigger. The 26 looked classic and elegant but the 31 seemed a bit gaudy (no offense to anyone who has 31 with diamond bezel) 3. One of my favorite part of the watch is the jubilee and I like to see it from the top; the 31mm size on me didn't leave much of the band to see.

I think it's all about proportions. If you are tall and have long fingers or larger wrist, you could carry off the bigger size.

great thank you, so basically everyone preferred the first one (diamonds and jubilee band) in eiter 26 or 31. I forgot to take a picture of the 26, but I can imagine it being more elegant with a dress. I am 1.73m (5'8") and quite slim with long arms/legs/fingers.
