So, I know what size I want, reference, MOP.. but I’ve gone back and forth with oyster vs jubilee. I’ve been to an AD to play and try on, but curious to see what the poll results show!

Mine that looks like that with the oyster band was stolen recently, I loved it and just rebought another.
The fluted bezel is a Rolex trademark, but the oyster band flies a little more under the radar imo. It's my fave!

The jubilee is a little more than the oyster in terms of price, but the jubilee links will stretch out over time.
The older Rolex models will stretch but newer TT models have solid connecting links so they are less likely to stretch. You can feel this in the weight of new versus older models.
To some extent stretch can be prevented even on older models if the watch is worn to fit rather than if it’s worn loosely like a bracelet.
The good news is that there are expert watch repair services that can tighten Jubilee links to correct this.

When it comes to choosing between Jubilee or Oyster another consideration is that the polished links of the Oyster are more inclined to show scratches whereas the Jubilee links will not.
The DJ with fluted bezel and jubilee links are the iconic pairing so it’s interesting to see a fluted bezel (dressy) with a oyster bracelet (sporty) but then you can create all sorts of combinations online now that were previously not allowed. I’m sure it’s being done because the polished bezel, like the links of the Oyster bracelet, was more inclined to scratches and people often complained. Rolex has also surely noticed that women love larger models so allowing the fluted bezel for a more feminine look.
I’ve worn a TT 36 DJ and GMT for years and find it funny that they once considered it a short term trend, which is ironic given fact that it becomes more difficult to read a smaller dial as we age.

I always thought the jubilee looked dated or suited the elders more. But as I aged, I find the jubilee more classic. I recently sold my DJ oyster in 36mm that I rarely wore. And have another Rolex on order. I couldn’t decide btwn two tone jubilee or presidential. In the end, I went with RG presidential in 31mm. Hoping to get it soon.

I recently tried on this very model as I’m considering new watch. It was one of the few in stock and stunningly beautiful!

Your first sentence is what I always thought as well! That is, up until I started following the Rolex thread on TPF. I must say, these ladies sure have some beautiful watches ❤️ I also feel the two tone looks very nice on the jubilee. I hope you get your RG soon ❤️ What a dream watch that will be! Rolex makes RG so beautifully!! More champagne like, it’s divine!

When I was choosing my watch, I found the Jubilee bracelet much more comfortable that he Oyster bracelet and that's what guided my choice.
I do hear a lot about the comfort of the jubilee. I’ve tested out my husband’s Submariner which is on an oyster bracelet (wore it for a full day) and I found it comfortable as well. To be honest, I really liked the sportiness and edge the Sub gave in contrast to all my jewelry, haha, but alas, I couldn’t use the “what’s yours is mine baby” line this time. I think that’s a big part of what’s making me side with a 36 oyster .. I want the sporty feel, but a touch of femininity as well with MOP.

I get it! I sometimes wear a GMT which is 41mm and it’s fun.
