I was wondering if I am able to get a Rolex watch (Oyster) serviced if I do not have the box or the paperwork? It was my grandmothers watch which was passed down to me when she passed away. She purchased it about 20-25 years ago overseas in Asia and have since lost the paperwork and box. I want to get it serviced (she never got it serviced) so I can start wearing it. Would Rolex also add more links/chains if the watch is too small? I know I would have to pay extra but I do not have the pieces and one that watch alone.

I took my Rolex to be serviced without papers to a authorized Rolex dealer, and my watch was serviced no problem. Also
if you need extra links they most likely can help you with that. Good luck!

I agree with @ccha

I agree....any reputable Rolex watch repair should be able to open it up and see that it's not a fake

I don't have box or papers on my Rolex either, since I purchased pre-owned. I plan on getting it serviced through RSC as well, and I've heard that it won't be an issue. They just open up the watch to make sure it has all Rolex parts and to ensure that it's authentic.

I found a reputable local watch service guy via the Rolex Forum. Just in case you want to consider that option. For me, it saves the trouble of shipping to Rolex and I think he's less expensive.

Oh, definitely let me know. When you say local, where is local for you? I live in northern Colorado. I'm also a member of the Rolex forum. I've learned so much about Rolex from them.

I have no idea about Rolex service in Colorado but if you're near a big city, maybe there is someone....wouldn't hurt to search the rolex forum or post the question
