Has anyone had issues with their Rolex not keeping proper time?
Mine was service about 2 years ago as it was doing the same thing, and now it's back to its old tricks of not keeping time accurately?
I suppose I need to send it again to get serviced ...darn.
Any input would be appreciated, thank you~:smile1:

Have you put the watch on top of a speaker, TV, cell phone, computer or something else with a magnetic field. If so you may have accidentally magnetized the movement. The fix for that at their repair center is pretty quick and easy. New Rolex movements don't use the same materials so they are not susceptible to becoming magnetized.

If your watch's last service is really close in time to the 2 year mark for the warranty for service, I would ask them to look at it and service it pursuant to the warranty as it just recently expired.

Good luck.

Do you wear it enough--hours a day--for it to build a full power reserve? This is what helps keep it keeping good time.
If you aren't wearing the watch, is it on a winder? Do you wind it 40 turns or so (like once a week)? These all help retain a power reserve.
Lastly, if you're not very active with your wrist movement when you do wear it, that can prevent it from building enough power reserve to do a good job.

Check your use of the watch and wind it once a week for a while, and see if it makes a difference.

Thank you for the great info.NO I have not been wearing it often and perhaps a watch winder is what I need. In face the past two years I hardly wore it and wonder if in not doing so I could have gotten it past the point of where a winder would not help?
I suppose I need to educate myself more on these things, thank you.

The watch winds with the kinetic energy provided by the movement of your wrist, if you don't wear it, the power reserve will run down and the watch will stop. Simply place the watch on a winder or use the crown to handwind the watch prior to strapping it on!
