Has anyone who’s purchased a Rolex recently been successful in negotiating a discount, and if so, for how much? I’ve been frequenting a local AD, and finally settled on a watch, but they’re unwilling to offer any discounts. The SA claimed it was no longer possible with Rolex, but I have my doubts. I checked a few of the stores mentioned in an old thread on TPF, but they were either out of business or didn’t have what I wanted. I’m based in the US, if that matters.

Possible the discount policy has changed in the last several years. It was in effect earlier in the decade.

I was offered a discount on a Rolex Daytona from Ben Bridge yesterday.
Was it a SS or TT or? Seems like the SS with popular dials definitely not discounted. Last I bought from an AD was a couple years ago and they offered a discount about equal to my local sales tax rate. This was for a date Submariner SS.
Hmm, the one I'm interested in is TT. The salesperson at the AD with my model in stock offered me a credit card with financing options instead, which isn't what I want. Should I ask to speak with someone at her AD who has the authority to bargain or assume that it's a no-go?
I haven't received any discounts on Rolex watches this year. Neither did I try to ask a discount for one hard to source watches, though. I was already happy I could save £10k by paying retail price, lol
Mainly because it's really hard to get a steel Daytona, Submariner or GMT Master II at the moment. You can't just wander in the store and ask for one or you have to be super lucky. Even through Harrods VIP it's difficult to get the new GMT.
Yeah, probably, you can still get a discount on the two tone ones but the steel ones are impossible to get.
