Hi:
I have Rolex daydate 36 in YG w/dial set diamonds and bezel set with diamonds.
And I want to buy another watch but I'm confused between:
-Rolex daytona YG w/ gold crystals dial set with diamonds.
-cartier ballon bleu 41 in YG w/dial set with diamonds.
I feel that the rolex is a better option because I can change the dial and I can put baguette bezel whenever i want.
While the cartier watch u are forced to accept that the dial is white and u have to choose if u want the bezel w/diamonds or not before buying and when I tried it. It wasn't comfortable because the case back is round shaped while the rolex is taking the shape of your wrist and more comfortable.
Please give me your opinions.

I think the Daytona you're considering is actually completely against the DNA of the watch, which is the ultimate sporty look. If you're after highly decorative and dressy, it's the Cartier you want.

Seems like to me you like the Rolex more AND you think it's more comfortable!! Personally, I prefer the balloon bleu, but that is because I like the style and the feel of the Cartier more than the Rolex (I don't like sporty looking watches). But you should get what YOU like best!

As much as I love the Ballon Bleu I prefer the Daytona, I have my name on a waiting list for the SS but I am considering getting a TT instead as I think by the time I get to the top of the waiting list the price will be so high, but if I had the opportunity to get an all gold Daytona I would get one.

^I am in favor of the Daytona choice, but not a crystals faced diamond blinged Daytona as OP suggests. That seems just OTT for this piece, to me.

OP: Did you try out both watches in person to see what speaks to you?

I LOVE Daytona, even in Gold. But as Jellyv suggested, the blingy version is a bit much for this particular model Rolex. But of course if you like it, that is all that's important. In the celeb watch thread, there are many pictures of ladies who pull the daytona off in a variety of settings, so even though its "sporty" I feel that it can be very versatile as well.

It sounds that you are leaning towards the Daytona and since I personally love this model, I say the Daytona.

I tried them both and I like the daytona more I don't know why it speaks to me.And w/ diamonds it is unexpected very chic, elegant and youthful. It is more comfortable and Rolex knows what they are doing while cartier round case back is soo uncomfortable IMHO.
