I’ve decided that I’d love to have this watch next. Due to very low stock at the boutique (and in the country) I have to order the watch in my preferred spec, rather than be able to try it on, which makes it very difficult.

I know that I definitely want the following:
Fluted bezel
YG/steel
Diamond markers

But I can’t decide on:
Oyster vs Jubilee bracelet (I already have one of each)
Olive vs silver vs champagne dial

Opinions very welcome, please!

Agree fluted bezel looks great with jubilee. Love, love, love the olive color! Go with what YOU love. Do you have an option to pass if it comes in and you don’t live it?

I like the fluted bezel better with the Jubilee band. I like the silver dial with diamonds better than champagne.

My answer might change, though, if you tell us what your other two Rolex's are.
Thank you.

My first Rolex is steel with salmon dial and Roman numbers (26 mm), oyster bracelet.

Second Rolex is the Lady Datejust, steel, dark grey dial with diamond bezel and diamond markers, jubilee bracelet.

I think you’re right about the silver vs champagne dial with the diamonds. Also as I mainly wear WG/platinum, the champagne dial might be a bit too yellow for me. I do also have an Omega, steel/YG with silver dial and diamond markers. This is a small watch though, I think only 24mm, so a very different look to the Rolex.

I’m definitely leaning towards olive now as I don’t have anything like this and I really like it. Just need to decide on the bracelet now.

Thanks for helping!

Yes, I don’t have to buy it. But it might take many months and then if I need to reorder, then another lengthy wait so I’m trying to anticipate what I will like. I love the olive too!

Truth is, Jubilee is overdone these days ( even though the one i own is a Jubilee ) I'd say choose an Oyster bracelet Rolex with a vibrant dial how's that? that's just my opinion if i would go for another Rolex :) but do what ever your heart desires. Trust me you'd get the feeling of which is the one for you when you're at the counter

Yes, since you already have a dark gray dial with diamonds, I can see why you are interested in going with another color than silver. The olive would be pretty with the yellow gold! I love the oyster bracelet since it looks more casual to me, but I like the plain bezel on it. This one belongs to my friend, and I would like to get this one with the plain bezel with no diamonds.

+1

but I prefer the oyster (I’ve owned both and am of an age where I feel personally that jubilee is overdone) JMO though

I love the diamond markers on a neutral colour because I think it’s easier to match. The olive is beautiful but I get worried about matching to my outfits if I’m wearing red and I have an olive dial? Just my opinion though. You have to go with what talks to you. Go to several Rolex stores (if you have a few in your area) and try lots on!

Also I love the jubilee. It looks like it’s a bracelet on its own. The shine from the jubilee is great along with the fluted bezel.

I have a 31 with fluted bezel, oyster bracelet, olive face, diamond markers in SS/RG and I LOVE it.

Goes with everything.
