Sorry for starting a new thread i didn't think think was necessarily rehab/rescue issue?

So my Rogue has a loose thread front and center and it is a bit of an eyesore. This bag is more then a year old and I purchased second hand (not that they need to know that). Will coach do anything about this? I really am not fond of having to send the bag out. I'm afraid if I clip it, it may continue to unravel I am not sure how to proceed and also this is a high stress area and needs all the support it can get so kind of concerned .

I suspect it's nylon. It melts. My other coach bags have it. I would cut a tiny piece off and see if it melts. If it does, you can very carefully burn the end and it will blob a little. Make sure to remove the flame from the lighter or match before the thread gets dark from burning.

Can you take it into a boutique and ask for this stitching to be reinforced? I am sure a shoe person could reinforce it too with a few small stitches. I agree you need to be careful since this is a weight-bearing stitch. Personally, I would not get a flame or high heat near it- it is too close to the leather.
