Hi all! I am a complete jeans freak, as I am lucky enough to HAVE to wear jeans to work every day (I work in the retail industry), and I am contemplating adding some Rock and Republic to my repertoire. :p

I love Adriano Goldschmied, True Religion and Seven For All Mankind, as well as Diesel. I was wondering how the fit/quality of RRs compares to these brands? I had tried also some Fidelity jeans but am not happy with the quality for the price. Looking forward to your feedback!

Not a fan of the new "R" shape that Rock & Republic has been using for its back pockets. They look like Roca Wear's "R" shape now. :-s Quality-wise, it depends on the wash. Some washes are thin and prone to ripping (but that's how it is with other brands, too). The "kasandra" style tends to have a butt flattening effect on many women so I'd try and stay away from that. If you can get your hands on the prior model of the "kasandra"...the "kiedis", that is much better. ;)

i think they look kind of cheap, especially the ones with heavy faux distressing and embellishments.

i would go for a pair of dark rinse jeans with less fuss like habitual, notify or superfine.

I really like rock & republics, but I tend to say away for the more crazy ones and just go for darker washes with a matching darker R on the butt.

I can sort of help you out with fit.

I'm a 27 in Paige Premium Denim, 28 in Rock and Republic and JBrand
and then 28 or 29 in 7 for all mankind & Citizens.

So I've found that they fit a bit bigger than 7 or citizens, but they are snugger than Paige, at least for me.

HTH!

I used to own alot of R&R, but I've sold off most of my collection because I found that the quality was worse when compared to other brands I owned (TR, CoH, SFAM, Paige). The fabric tends to rip the most easily, imo. I have several pairs that ripped in the crotch or rear. I stopped buying RR a year ago so I can't speak for the current fit now, but in my experience, it's kind of all over the place and it depends on the style. I find that overall it definitely runs a little bit on the larger side, especially when you compare it to Paige (which runs small), and SFAM and CoH which run true to size for me.

I agree with heartfelt! I bought 2 pairs of R&R jeans, the ones with the crowns on and one of them had the crystals on. In total the two pairs cost around £650! within two months-both of their crotches literally exploded apart and I had to bring them back for a refund! never again-i'll stick to topshop for good quality jeans.........

R&R has some good washes and cuts. They're known for their crazy long inseams (anywhere from 34-36in long) so you'll most likely have to hem. It really depends on the wash,I think the ripping issue has been addressed with the newer jeans. I personally have sold a majority of my R&R and stuck w/ Diesel since their quality can't be beat imo. I save my R&R for special occasions, they're generally thinner and feel more "delicate" but they are supersoft and hug your body. Great for going out. I'm usually a 26 in diesel matic and lowky and normally go with a 26 in R&R for the roth/kiedis/kassandra/jagger cuts.

Wow! Surprised with the ripping issues. Haven't had them yet (knock on wood). I always wash all my premium jeans in delicate cycle and then hang them to dry. I also have all dark wash.

I always have to have all my jeans hemmed tho, even the 'petite' sizes since I'm short.

Hola! Thanks to all of you who answered! Well, I have gone ahead and took the plunge! I ordered my first pair today and will let you know how I get on. I chose a dark wash skinny in 28 (I usually wear a 27 in TR and 27/28 in SFAM). They are über expensive in Switzerland, but I got a pair on sale for about 160$.

Wearing my TR Becky's today after a couple of days in Old Navy...even though the Old Navy fit well, you just can't beat the TR butt!!!

No, haven't tried Paige yet as I have never come across them here in CH. American brands are very expensive over here (I tried on a pair of TRs which were selling for about 600$!!!).

Aren't Nudie's mens jeans? I love Denimbirds as well.
