Here in New Orleans roaches are everywhere. You don't have to be a slob to have them. I have some seriously huge roaches. I have actually caught a roach with a piece of my dog's food in the bathroom. It had to have carried it in there! I also caught a roach with a piece of one of her treats. These are amazons! I hate them but I'm used to them having grown up with them.
It depends on where you live. We have a lot of water here and old homes that aren't as sealed up as newer homes. I also am lazy about washing my dishes so I'm sure that doesn't help.
