hi all! I’m not huge into TB but I saw the Fleming Hobo in the local store and decided I had to have her as a summer bag. I purchased her 2 months ago in store. I’ve used her maybe 5 times. I carry a big tote for work so my other Purses are carried occasionally. I took her out of her dust bag today and saw that on one side, the narrow leather that is intertwined with the metal chain is actually ripping in 3 places! Now, I’ve had Chanel’s with the leather intertwined in a metal chain and no ripping. Granted I know the Fleming Hobo is a soft leather which is why she’s not for hard wear.

Is this stuff normal for a TB? Yes I know TB isn’t LV or Hermès or Chanel but still the bag wasn’t dirt cheap and I know TB is fairly popular.

Is it worthwhile taking it back and requesting a replacement or credit? It’s obviously a manufacturing defect

Thanks!

I've never had any issues with any of my TB, it might be a defect. I've had some of my higher end bags have more issues than my contemporary brands. Email customer service with pictures and maybe a copy of your receipt. TB customer service is always top notch.
