Hi all.
Over the years I have lost so many rings (including two engagement rings and my beloved class ring) due to sizing issues. Apparently, my ring size really changes and I am half size larger on my left than I am on my right. In most rings, I wear a size 6 which still slips around abit. Come summer that same ring will feel snug, but not so snug that you can't pull it off. I thought I was a 6.5. I know the caveat about trying on rings, don't try them when it's really cold or really hot and humid. Otherwise, I just find myself shifting rings to different fingers, which is another of losing them, because as soon as my hand gets warm, the rings might feel tight. Anyone else have this problem?
The crazy thing is that I really like rings! (after watches, of course).

I have the same problem with the different sizes for different hands. My right hand fingers are larger than my left...

I like to wear rings on my middle finger of my right hand - but for some reason all my rings are too small to fit the middle finger - AND they are too big to fit the right hand ring finger....grrrr....

My ering and wedding band, and anniversary band are all sodered - so with 3 rings they are too thick to "fall off" - when we added the 3rd ring this year I sized all up to 5 3/4 so I could slide it off over my knuckle - prior to the 3rd band the 2 were 5 1/2- and a little too tight in the Summer anyway.

so yeah - you aren't the only one with the ring sizing issue...

Funny, I was just at the jeweler's yesterday to drop 2 rings to be sized. He told me that whatever side is dominant will typically have a larger finger size, usually at least by a half size. Not unusual at all. I went w/ a 7 for both sides b/c that is what my right side is. It's a bit loose on the left, but my knuckle will stop it from going anywhere.

Nothing is ever actaully the same on both sides of your body, normally one foot is slightly bigger as well. Get the rings sized to a point where they do take some effort to pull off but do not feel constricting if you make a fist or move your fingers. My fingers swell sometimes too when it's humid. Maybe if they are too tight on those days, just skip wearing them that day? Probably better to not wear them sometimes then lose them. I hope you find your happy medium!
