Ladies,

I just bought myself a aquamarine stone 16.3 carat. This is a loose stone.
So i have to think of a setting. Can u all please give me some suggestion or any photos to inspire me? Thank u. ;)

Ooo honeybeez, how exciting! I didn't know you were looking for a loose gemstome - just thought you were looking at e-rings! I want to see this stone also! What shape is it??

it is oval shape. i dont have the stone with me... it is still with the shop waiting for me to decide on the setting so that they can do the ring for me. :)
i was thinking the ring this huge, would it suitable to do it with halo diamonds or just leave it simple..

kohl : it is not my plan to buy this aquamarine. i follow my friend to choose her gemstone that day and the shop is having sales. it is last day~ so i bought this stone thinking since i dont have any gemstone ring yet.. :)
the e-ring still in my mind. hehe.

I wouldnt halo it since it's so substantial. Maybe just a plain yellow gold prong would be lovely. Or something very simple. I've been in love with the etsy hearts of water jewelers designs.

Oooooh......aquamarine is my birthstone ;)

Look at some of the Tiffany Schlumberger designs. He has some gorgeously set Aquamarines!

I might be persuaded to halo it you know? It's substantial, but why not go all out? Over the top so to speak! A tiny 2mm edged halo with a split pave shank would be STUNNING!!!! (IMHO)

Oh...I like the idea of a pave split shank. Maybe leave the stone alone (no halo) so the stone is the main focus with a little bit of bling.
