So, let's start with a picture.

This is a brooch from Fall-Winter 2010 Act 2. I had ordered it way back in March, but it was cancelled by Paris and was never produced. But since I loved this jewelry theme so much, I had to hunt down a piece from the collection. I looked everywhere (Paris, Canada, USA and Hong Kong) - Nordstrom ordered the necklace, and Toronto ordered the ring. Back in October, Nordstrom hasn't received the necklace yet, so they put me on the waitlist. The ring in Toronto was sent back to Paris because it was damaged when they received it. I was told that it wouldn't come back. So I set $2320 aside for when the necklace arrives.

Fast forward to December. The boutiques are already receiving all their Cruise shipments, and the necklace is still not here. The SA I contacted in Portland finally told me that the necklace was cancelled as well. So sadly, I accepted the fact that I will never get to own a piece from this theme.

Then, a few days ago, I was on my way to school in the morning, and I received a message. It was from the CHANEL Boutique in Toronto.

Something came back from Paris.....

IT'S THE RING !!!

'Crystals' Ring, in rock crystals, glass pearls and enamel.

I've been so upset the last few months about the brooch. Now I am finally happy again. Sure, it's not as big as the brooch and it doesn't have as many details as the brooch. But it's huge as a ring, which is probably why it costs more than my CHANEL fine jewelry Camellia ring.

Here's a comparison pic with a ring from 2008 of a similar design.
The 08A ring was already pretty big, but this ring is GIANT.
I am so happy that it's finally part of my jewelry family.

Justin, is there any way to rig up the ring so you can wear it as a pin or convert it, if you so chose. It is big to be sure but sure is stunning. Do be very careful; it would be a bucket of tears to break it. Love the jade piece too!! Great finds and just in time for the holidays--how great a timing is that. . . congrats and thanks for sharing.

Yea I thought about making it into a brooch, it definitely looks too delicate and fragile to be worn as a ring. And considering that it has been damaged once before I bought it, I have to be extra careful. But I took it anyway because I love the design so much, and it's also really rare. It's the only one in North America, there are none in Europe or Hong Kong.
