The satiny ballet-flat sneakers look lovely and elegant, and I must admit I've been tempted, but I can't see them withstanding more than one trek around the city. On public transportation they'd be doomed.

Honestly, I'm surprised it took this long. But I'm guessing that type of shoe is going to be relatively comfortable, so it will probably catch on. Not my cup of tea, though.
