I earnestly need yall honest feedback. Thank you for your insights in advacne .
I don't usually write long reviews in my life but I'm kinda excited to share my trip to Korea and how I ended up having plastic surgery. I'm originally from Asia but live in Europe. English is not my first language. I stayed in Korea for a month vacation, though I wasn't confident about getting surgery. Still I was curious about less invasive options for my nose and chin as I'd heard fillers and threads could cause problems later on.
Following my friends' suggestion, we decided to have free consultations at plastic surgery hospitals in Gangnam. We visited three clinics, though one didn't accept walk-ins. After some waiting, we managed to have consultations at FP Clinic and DA Clinic. FP charged around $15 for the CT scan. The consultation was good, with a patient doctor who answered all our questions. Luckily, one of my friends spoke Korean so she helped translate for us. The price was reasonable, though a bit higher than online prices.
The second stop is at DA. I still had no idea of surgery until I entered the building loll. Everything happened very quickly. As a walk in , the waiting time was quite lonnngg. The CT scan was free, so I decided to go ahead with the consultation. Doctor in charge of our nose was Dr. Yoo.
He was introduced as a rhinoplasty specialist. He said my nose was too small and my chin stuck out too much. Considering the beauty measurement from the side, the line from nose tip and chin is not in a good alignment. He asked if I also plan to get chin reduction in the future and he added an explanation: nose tip projection can simply give a good impact to improve the chin alignment which sounds like a bonus to me. He suggested using my own rib cartilage to bring out the tip of my nose and smoothing the line with silicon. As my nose is very small, my own rib cartilage is recommended as the most suitable material. I don't mind using my own rib but it costs more lollll. Unlike my case, my friend’s nose was ok to use a donor rib which costs less than mine. (cry cry)
The price was higher than we'd budgeted but we managed to get a good deal for two people. My friend's surgry is in 2 months.
What made me decide surgery at this clinic unexpectedly.
Dr. Yoo's expertise convinced me. I was impressed by his detailed explanation and solution to improve my chin alignment by doing a rhinoplasty. Chin has been my concern too but I was too scared to cut the chin bone. The consultant promised to offer free aftercare services and knowing I could see the doctor whenever I needed made me trust them. Now I don't have many issues with daily activities, but not being able to touch my nose for a month is frustrating and I am not allowed to wear the glasses.
I'll share my before and after images to show yoy the difference though I'm not comfortable showing my full face.
Before
can u tell what made me concern before the surgery? My nose was very small and short compared to my face and eyes.
After
This was taken on my 2 weeks final check up with Dr Yoo.
I feel like my jaw protrusion is less noticeable now. What do you guys think? let me knowww
I may consider chin surgery in the future but I don't know if I'll be ok to bear the pain!!!! I heard the facial contouring is painful. is it ?
Nose Surgery was not painful at all for me. The part of my rib where doc took the cartilage was painful. I had to wear the garment suit for one month.
