I took a closer look at the tag inside my new city and I find it strange that on one side the number is 115748 and on the other it is 115784..?? is that normal? I thought the number should be the same on both sides? :weird:

The numbers (style number for the City - 11548) should be the same on both sides, but, every once in a while, we have seen tags that are a little off on authentic bags. Since you purchased your bag directly from Balenciaga, I am sure your bag is fine, and it is an error in the stamping. It will be interesting to see if other bags like this turn up this season, since it is hard to believe it would be just one bag. Just out of curiosity, you could try contacting Bal and see what they say.

I have seen the exact same thing, someone at the Balenciaga factory set the numbers incorrectly for the leather tag. No one must check that afterwards, like those unique 4-notched rivets both clover & butterfly shaped. There's all sorts of strange one-offs that happen from human/machine error during manufacture, but when purchased directly from the boutique as well as check-out authentic in every other way, it's just Bal's QC oddities.

I would also contact Balenciaga and ask them what to do. In case you might want to sell it in the future, I dont know if you will have a hard time in terms of authenticity... Let us know what you do and what they say! good luck and congrats!

i completely agree:woohoo:

alright, so I sent an email to Balenciaga with the pictures and a man just called me, saying this can happen, but the numbers wouldnt say anything about authenticity, they have other ways to find out if a bag is authentic etcetc. as long as I have my invoice all is good :happydance: hehe

I wouldnt have returned it anyway, the leather's just too good. And since I doubt that I would sell that bag again, I guess I really don't mind what the numbers are..
