So I just received a call from my SA and was told a black togo 30 Birkin was available for me to pick up but in the rghw (rose gold). I originally wanted the gold hardware. I have seen pictures of the rose gold hardware with gold Hermes stamping. I know some consider the rose gold a "rare" piece but what's your take on this? Do you think the rose gold will be a good purse to get, something that will hold it's value or is this a trendy color that will soon fade? Maybe it's a personally preference but any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks.

I love my black B25 with RGHW - it's my favorite bag in my collection. It is considered "rarer", and I'm pretty confident it will hold its value or perhaps even go up in price if Hermes stopped production - much like the So Black collection.

Having said that, if I were you, I'd definitely go look at the bag in person before making a decision. Personally, I didn't know how much I liked RGHW until I saw someone else carrying it in person, and then I knew I had to have one lol :P

My b25 noir RGHW is the queen of my collection as well. I didn’t realize how much I loved or needed rose gold until I tried to carry my bags with YG hardware and it almost felt wrong. Sort of gaudy. But RG goes well with my outfits, my jewelry .. everything. It’s such a Person preference.. but I just don’t see how anyone could see a noir RGHW Birkin and resist. I know I could never!

I recently acquired a Beton B30 in RGHW and I am completely in love! I have a lot of rose gold jewelry (though I mix and match most of the time) so it makes a good addition to my current collection.

RGHW is a must especially if you like RGHW jewellery (which I do) - I have two Bs with RGHW (b25 Gris Tourterelle and b30 Gris Etain) and I love them so much. I wish my b25 black was with RGHW rather than GHW!
OMGoodness! Glorious!!! These are the only two bags on my wishlist with my SA right now. Hoping I can be your twin on one of them this semester ... dying for both colors in B25 AND RGHW!!!!!!!!!!!

i was always a rose gold fan so i could be biased but i absolutely LOVE my noir B25 with RGHW. i don't even care about the value/rarity because i don't ever plan on selling it! but i do like that there aren't as many bags out there with RGHW. the "Hermes Paris" print in gold doesn't bother me since it's so small. i didn't even realize it until someone pointed it out. also rose gold has been around for quite a while, although it's become a bit trendier lately it's not so trendy where i think it'll go out of fashion forever if that makes sense. to me it's a classic like gold or silver, just that it's popularity goes up and down depending on trends.

Yes, it's true, as a long time lover of ghw on bags I now see the ghw as harsh compared to rghw...
I don't think it can date itself and i see it as a nice alternative to the lighter brushed ghw which is only available via special order.

Thank you for saying that. I was beginning to wonder if I made a mistake ordering brush gold hardware on my SO.. but if it is lighter than normal GHW I think I will be happy

Just my opinion but Brushed GHW is not lighter than shiny gold. To my eye, it's even bolder gold....
Permabrass is lighter than shiny gold...
