I don't usually do a reveal or thread dedicated to one bag, but I felt that this beauty needed to be shared. So I'm not quite sure how this ended up in my hands, but due to an estate liquidation...I'm now the proud mom to a Chocolate FBHobo, but not just any Hobo...she's a Sample /Prototype!!

Originally, I would have thought this was a mistake or damaged bag, but I've been told she's a Sample and is close to one of a kind. I say "close" because the person that told me this...has the SAME bag!! She's been a collector for years.

There is no lining, just the back of the Nappa/ previously thought to be Kidskin and the front pocket, well, is fake!! Haha! Yep, fake! It's just a sample!! You can see the back of the Flat Brass Studs, the Zippers & the hardware. When touching the inside its like putting on the finest pair of leather gloves you can find. Honestly, it makes me wish all of our other bags didn't have lining, sort of!! Haha

Anyway, I hope all Balenciaga lovers can appreciate her!! Hope you enjoy[emoji4]

I'm seriously.....speechless? OMG. It looks like satin. It's perfect. To think at one point that baby passed through the hands of the people making the decisions about what would become the Balenciaga moto line. I can't even. Don't you wonder if it was touched by NG himself?

Guuurl, you're holding a little slice of fashion history in your hands! NEVER let that baby go! (Unless you loan or bequeath it to the Smithsonian or whoever it is that does those massive museum fashion retrospective exhibits).

Most importantly, Congratulations! What an amazing find.

(PS: Where in the world do these things HIDE? And why don't I ever FIND them... WAAAAHHH. LOL. Makes me wish I could go on a global closet raid!).

Sweet Jesus!!!! This is flawless!!! I would totally put this on display in my house. It definitely seems like a prototype to me. Congratulations!!! You just scored the Balenciaga jackpot lol! I wonder if Nicolas Ghesquiere himself perhaps held the bag or touched it?? OMG!

I had to come back and look again, to make sure it wasn't some weird waking apparition that I had. I wish I could touch this through the internet, it is begging to be handled. I wish I had never seen it. But I'm glad I saw it. Oh god, this is messing with my emotions. I might have to send you my therapy bills for inflicting an incurable case of envy!!! :loveeyes::cray::wtf::doggie:;)

OMG....what a find!! You are so lucky to have stumbled on this unbelievable bag. If Balenciaga has a Hall of Fame....this bag belongs in it! Enjoy....she's a beauty! :faint:

Dark Turquoise where ARE YOU? What closet are you in...collecting dust...hmmm And of course I'm still hunting for that 03 Red First I missed out on...and then I will be Bal Content on all fronts!!! Haha! Yes, when I opened the package I sat there for a moment and was like...hmmm...pocket? Was the lining removed? haha! But nope, she's a sample!

Oh, man! The leather is just INSANE!! And like i said in my post...the interior aka back of the Nappa leather is so soft it's like velvet!! She is truly sensational!!

I'm thinking a display or frame in my house as well! There is a little wear on the strap, but the bag & leather itself is so perfect I just can't believe it!! Where has it been? Who carried her? I bet NG did touch it, better yet...create her!!! Can you imagine!!! I really cannot believe how insane this bag is and I think you're right...total Bal Jackpot!!!:D Thank you!!!

Haha! Thank you! It's funny, when I look at her on my computer screen...I can't believe she's mine!! hahaha Send me those therapy bills...Balenciaga vintage pieces really do wreak havoc on one's emotions and mental state! They do things to people's psyche!!! hahaha OR...you'll just have to come visit and fondle her! :laugh:

WOW! What a score, very cool find! I am seriously contemplating undoing some linings in nappa leather flat brass bags to touch the suede side...I'm imagining buttery soft velvet. Gorgy!!
