Anyone around for an instant (albeit overdue) reveal + a quick question? I was browsing my local LV a few weeks back, wanted to see a couple crossbody options and tried my luck asking about the Favorite MM. They’d just received it in DA – I did a quick onceover and purchased, but also wanted it in DE. The CA said they could order it in so I gave my contact info (wasn’t asked for payment in advance, 4-6 week wait) and I was called 3 weeks later to pick it up. Both bags were made the week before I purchased (so they’re still in production).
I was told if I wanted to order anything unavailable online to ask the store, so I asked about the PA as I’d been looking for it a couple years ago while in Europe; they could order in the Mono or DA, the DE hasn’t been available for order in that location for over a year. I decided not to, I’d originally wanted the PA as a crossbody but would than need to get an LV strap for each bag. The Favorite MM is more spacious, comes with a strap, but now I need to look at wallets/SLGs for each bag.
My “quick question” is which of the following wallets would you go for?
- Clemence (the thing holding me back is the leather zipper tab)
- Josephine (which I love, I own one in Mono for my PM, has enough card slots)
- Pochette Felicie inserts (they showed me this bag, but it’s tiny and I don’t like chain straps; they mentioned they could order in the inserts as replacements if I’d like)
- Key Cles (love how useful it is, I’ve one in empreinte which is larger but I’d have to fold cash which I don’t like)
- I own an Hermes Bastia and was thinking of getting one in Rouge Tomate (for the DE) and one in Rose Sakura (for the DA)
Whichever wallet I go for I’ll get one in DE and one in DA, I’d prefer they match the bags. Also I included the info about ordering unavailable items, pre-paying, and ordering replacement pieces since it’s inconsistent across the board but wanted to share my experience.
