I just got the Polene Number Un. I absolutely LOVE this bag, love it! It smells great, the leather is thick and chewy, but not stiff. I thought it would be stiff from what I have seen in the ads. It is the perfect size. The quality is wonderful, the zippers, the stitching. The snap is incredibly easy to open and close. The leather "feels" divine. I do not know how to describe it. Everything about this bag says quality. I am sorely tempted to get another one in a different color, but will resist for a few days, lol.

I had this backwards. THe bags are made in Spain, sold by Polene, Paris.

I will be honest. I have many Massaccesi bags, a couple of Bottega Veneta, a Proenza schouler. I was totally prepared to be disappointed with this bag. You can tell that I am not, lol. But a bag is a very personal item and what works for me in size, weight, etc., may not be what you want. So don’t let my enthusiasm encourage you to
get one if you have any doubts. I have learned this the hard way in my bag journey.

Thank you :yes: Yes handbags are so personal, what works for one does not serve another. I just really love the simple, modernist look to this bag. So very classic. I definitely will add one at some point. I’ve gone nuts with over buying MM bags the last couple months, so after the kickstarter i will be on ban island for a bit. But your input is very helpful especially in regard to quality. I love the look of Polene. Size and leather is great too. I’ve just gotten wary of quality. Such an issue today across brands. And now that i’ve been exposed to Marcos leathers, i am much more particular than i was in the past. A beautiful bag! Enjoy her :love:

I am never sure how to answer this. It is not what I would call a light bag, like some of my others. But it is not the heaviest bag I have. I weighed myself with and without the bag and it looks like it weighs 4.4 lbs with all of my stuff in it. I carry a make up pouch, a small wallet, keys, kleenex, a tin of Altoids and an iPhone 6s pro. The leather is thick and chewy, so it is not going to be one of the lightest bags you can find.

UPDATE: there is one thing I do NOT like about this bag. Using my fingers, then a hemostat, then a pair of pliers, I still cannot adjust the strap. The leather is thick and rigid The holes are too tight. I have been working on this for 10 minutes and I am ready to throw the bag against the wall.

You should take it to a cobbler's , southernbelle.
He will do the job in five minutes .

I finally got it using a wooden skewer stick! Thank goodness I don’t want to switch lengths. I appreciate the thick excellent quality of the leather and the sturdiness of the hardware, but heavens...it should not be that hard. I have no other bags that are like that!
