Hi ladies! I recently ordered a Michael Kors bedford shoulder bag in luggage because I was wanting to replace my luggage astor (it was too small). I like a lot of things about this bag: it's super soft, and you can remove both handles and carry it crossbody or just a shoulder bag. I'm not sure if it's too plain? My collection consists of a sapphire sutton, sapphire jet set, and grey selma. I was really wanting a casual style for relaxed days but not sure if this one is too simple. Opinions please! I have several pics!

I think think this bag is only LIKE for you and not LOVE. Am I right?? Speaking for myself only-if I only like a bag I probably won't use it much. It will not matter in the end what kind of bargain I received if I never ever used it. NOW on to your question of the "plain" tote. Yes, its a very simple handbag, no frills or flair. If your looking for a weekend knockaround-that's it! But I don't think it's special enough for you right?? Sometimes the bag we bring home that seemed just right instore or online when we typed in those numbers, is just NOT it. Return it if possible and get something that makes you SMILE as soon as you see it. Being practical should never ***** smiling when you look at it. That's weirdly how my hubby purchases cars and sneakers. If he is not smiling-he ain't buyin!! MEN....hope this helps because I have been here before.

+1
It's cute, but too plain for my taste.

Sometimes "plain" is just what is wanted for a casual look, but we all have our own idea of what's plain and what's fancy. I personally think that there are occasions that would be perfect for somthing this simple, but I tend to collect waaay too many bags. If you aren't drawn to it, maybe you should let it go and wait for something else that's simple but maybe less plain? What does your gut feeling say? Imagine yourself returning it. Does that feeling not make you feel good? If you're feeling hesitant to return it, then maybe it's a keeper. If you feel more of a feeling of relief at the thought of returning it, then you should.

+1. That's a good idea sillyshopper, imagining you no longer have it in your posession. What if you stood in line and returned it and the lady behind you wanted to purchase it? Could you just walk away, shrug your shoulders and say it's o.k.? If not, I say keep it. I have a jet set multifunction sig crossbody that I use for our summer concert series in the park. Black and waterproof. BBQ, BEER, RAIN etc, It's perfect for that. I use it every single year. If you know it has a place in your wardrobe, keep it. Take a few days before you just return it.

What about this style? http://www.dillards.com/product/MIC...9_zi_luggage&categoryId=-10005&scrollTop=3699

I don't know how tall you are or what the measurements of that Bedford are, so this may be too small. It is simple yet a little less plain because of the chain detail. Looks like the long strap is removable but not the short one.

Hello!

I actually looked at this one before and it is SOOO small. I was very disappointed because it's much smaller in person than in pics. Thank you for the suggestion though!

Thanks everyone for the feedback! I am going to hold on to it for a while so I can think about it and be sure. I think if it goes on sale I won't hesitate but I paid full price. Also, they had it in mandarin last year so if they released that again I would probably trade for that color. The main thing keeping me from returning it is that I really want a comfy crossbody and they are SO hard to find. Everything is either too small or the little handle sticks out weird. This one is the perfect size and I love that both handles can be removed. However, while I love the luggage color I think this bag might need a punchier color. Decisions decisions!

P.S. I will say that I went grocery shopping today with my sutton and it got pretty uncomfortable. I would have loved to be carrying this one instead!
