Finally got my hands on the ever so lusted mini bucket bag in black flamma.

It was delivered today and may I say it was nothing but disappointment after all this hype. :crybaby:

I'm not sure if this is normal or just the nature of MG bags but can anybody tell me if this has happened to you? There are a few imperfections in the leather - I'm ok with that but there is an approximate 8" imprint track that is right beside the seam.

And also glue is exposed near the shoulder strap where it is sewed to the bag.

I've contacted MG customer service with detailed pictures - I hope they can shed more light

I have the same tracks of sewing as you on both side. I didn't notice that at the beginning but it is visible especially in the light.

I received my mini bucket in black flemma last Monday (bought from the last relaunch)and noticed the same glue sticking out on strap issue. I've contact MG customer service and got a reply after few days, they given me 2 options, a) can replace a new bag but need to wait 6 to 8 weeks b) go to my local repair shop, recommended by MG, after the bag is restored, MG will reimburse the cost.
I couldn't be bothered to wait for the replacement, would rather go to local repair shop.
However, I have been using it for 3 days since Ive received it and haven't seen any further damage to the strap, so now I'm even lazy to take it to the repairer as it's not that visible.

Anyway, I do think MG needs to improve its quality control management to meet customer's basic expectations.

i wasn't even given an option - they just gave me a run of the mill excuse about vegetable tan leather (the same blurb on their website) and didn't even address the glue on the strap.

never buying MG again

I know how you feel! Just received my mini mini bucket a few days ago and some parts of the leather had pore-like bumps. The leather feels rough. I have several MG bags and none came like that. Very disappointed so I emailed MG, and they gave me the standard reply they gave you about it being natural due to "wear-and-tear" as it's made of vegetable tanned leather, and that I should bring it to a local repair shop myself. How could wear-and-tear occur when I very specifically mentioned that I've just received the bag two days ago, and that it is brand new still with the tags attached?

that's what i'm saying - i literally took out the bag, inspected it, and emailed them.
they emailed back 13 days later.

how are you going to have yours fixed? can you PM me pics?

I can't seem to upload photos, but its like the bag in post #3012 from this link. http://forum.purseblog.com/mansur-gavriel/mansur-gavriel-general-chat-thread-835257-201.html

I applied chamberlain leather milk and then Apple conditioner on it, and it did help quite a bit.

I'm quite shocked that they took 13 days to reply to your email, mine was replied within the hour.
