I had this item on my to buy list, but was holding off as I've only recently started a jewelry obsession and didn't want to go too far down the rabbit hole too quickly. When I saw this was removed from the website though, I decided to throw caution to the wind when I found out that my store still had it available.

I also asked the SA if he knew of the Rubedo line was being discontinued and he hadn't heard anything. After thinking about it for a few seconds, he said it was a possibility though. Kind of indicates to me it doesn't sell well.

No worries. Rubedo is a metal alloy Tiffany released in 2012 that's essentially a rose silver.

I kind of question myself as I paused buying it in the first place and with the metal being discontinued I only see its value going down. I really wanted the toggle bead bracelet and I'm looking for more rose-toned pieces for my collection though, so decided to take the plunge.

I've heard mixed reviews on tarnishing.

I believe it's predominantly copper, about a third gold, with some silver and zinc. The rose silver reference is more the tone of the color than composition; it's less warm than rose gold.
