Please can you tell me about endurance of the enamel on Return to Tiffany items? My parents bought me a RTT beaded bracelet in blue for my birthday and I am looking into buying a matching RTT double heart necklace.
I would ideally be interested in rarely (if ever) taking them off. I have seen some stories on here on old threads but I was wondering if there's any new experiences please with regards to the enamel (especially for the double heart), and I am also interested in repair costs. I know the enamel can't be cleaned like silver can. Thank you

I have a double heart tiffany blue necklace in silver, given to me as a birthday gift in 2018. I have been wearing them daily until a couple months ago, and so far they have held up pretty well! Only had to bring it to Tiffany’s to clean it.

The enamel discolors over time and cannot be repaired/repainted (by Tiffany). I used to buy everything that had the blue enamel on it. Now I stay far away. Some of my items turned to look more of a green hue.
I also tried the light pink enamel and that faded over time, but at least it wasn't as bad looking. I ended up selling all enamel pieces though. I wish they would have all stayed the color they were when I bought them.

I used to be team enamel as I loved my bead bracelets. I have/had the blue enamel and the baby pink one.

I wore the blue enamel 24/7 for almost 10 years before one day, the entire piece of enamel suddenly popped off. Over the span of 10 years the enamel did fade/discolor to slightly greenish and dull but never damanged. Tiffany advised that it was normal wear and tear and that there was nothing they could do. I ended up being charged $70 CAD+tax for the repair. I had the option of choosing another enamel color/tag, they also replaced a new clasp and dented beads for me so that made the repair price more fair. I ended up replacing it with the sterling silver heart tag so I wouldn't have to deal with the enamel issue.

I recently have noticed my pink enamel (have had it for approx 3 years) now also starting to discolor which is very disappointing. It appears to be rubbing off in some parts and overall beige/orange. I will be staying far away from enamel now.

I also have the bead bracelet in blue and the matching double heart tag necklace in blue. I received the necklace in 2017 as a graduation gift and I have never taken it off since then (except to swim in pools and at the beach). The blue enamel hasn’t faded on my necklace and looks the same as the day I got it color wise. I do get it cleaned in store occasionally and use the microfiber cloth to remove tarnish at home.

My bracelet is still fairly new but I plan to treat and wear it the same way as I do my necklace.
