so, for the past few years, i have put aside my women's rolex two-tone date just in favor of bigger, chunkier watches. i have been wearing my men's yellow gold bvlgari rectangolo and my boyfriend's cartier. because the cartier has been acting strangely (speeding up, slowing down, etc) he told me to let it completely wind down. i am wearing my white gold/diamond jewelry today, so i pulled out the rolex and i am actually really enjoying wearing it again.
so my question is, even though men's watches on women have been more in fashion lately, have any of you gone back to your smaller watches? do you switch it up? are you strictly a big watch fan? what's your take?

i love ladies or midsize watches. it is just more me. and while big watches are a huge trend and even are here to stay the classic lady size is just calssic and will be here forever.

in the end wear what you love regardless of beeing "in" or "out" a fine timepiece will always be "IN" regarless of size

another point is it is all about proportion for me there are fab small watches fab large ones but also horrible ones due to proportions beeing off

i thinking i'll start switching it up more, i had just forgotten how much i like wearing a smaller watch because i had gotten so into wearing something bigger

i always prefer larger ladies or mens watches. i have a few smaller, but i feel they look dwarfed on my wrist, so i usually lean toward the larger, bling watches. i too have a rolex and it's more my special occassion watch than anything. my husband is big into watches and wanted me to have one. i think style wise, i'm just more into 'trendy'

I have a ladies size two-tone Rolex Datejust that I got recently and I love the size on me. I think large, oversized watches to look great on some people but they just don't work for me so I stick to watch size that works best for me. I'm very petite, with tiny wrists and I'm only 4 11" so anything larger then the new version of the ladies Datejust just looks kinda funny on me. I like the newer lady Datejust size because it is a little chunkier then the older lady style. It is really a personal preference and what looks best on you, what size watch to wear. I do think that the size of the lady Datejust is a very classic size and looks great on everyone.

I tend to wear men's watches when I am dressed casually, & women's when I am more dressed up. just looks "right" to me that way. I have several of both sizes.

i agree, i don't like my bigger watches at night, it feels too casual to me... i've been going with out a watch to black tie events, but now maybe i know what my next birthday present will be... :graucho:

I love my midsize rolex but I also love the small and mini tag's I have......depends on what I feel like and I think right now, kinda like jeans, practically anything goes. I wouldn't say one is necessarily more fashionable than the other.

I have really tiny wrists, and large watches look just awful on me. I think that you should wear whatever makes you happy regardless of size.

i have to say, when i read these threads, i'm always a little jealous of the people with really tiny wrists/fingers, etc... i'm not giant, but sometimes i do feel that my rolex looks a little small for my wrist... and the engagement ring thread, i'm like OMG, my finger is a 6, how are you people so tiny?

I've been wearing my Rolex Milgauss a lot these days, but today I wore my Rolex Pearlmaster, and a couple of days ago I wore my Cartier YG Tank Francaise. The Milgauss is pretty heavy, so it's nice to wear something a little lighter and more delicate sometimes. But my next watch is going to be a Rolex Submariner.
