Return of the Monster Eyes Collection!

I have just heard from my SA that the monster collection is making a comeback! Super excited about this as it’s always been one of my favourite styles from Fendi. Really excited to see that the men’s Monster Peekaboo is returning.

Yay!!! One of my favorite collections - I use the black roll tote as a work bag and ALWAYS get compliments on it. Would love to have one of the new Baguettes from this line.

Does anyone have experience with fendi’s calfskin? Is it a good skin for peekaboo? Most I see r either Napa or selleria

So my BFF and I dropped by to take a look at the collection and what started out as an innocent window shopping excursion turned into a legit shopping trip! But I think, deep down inside, WE KNEW, we knew what was going to happen, and we knew purchases were going to be made, hahaha! In my defence, I tried really hard to resist (too much shopping in Dec). But the SA said this was a limited release with no chance of restock happening in my local boutique, and the monster collection is my absolute favourite Fendi collection! Also, for the piece I wanted, there was only 1 last new piece in store (the rest were display pieces). So it just had to be done you know? It had to be bought!

Here's what I tried in store! I was seriously considering this Roll Mini bag. Super cute! But I thought that little bit of red was missing. If the zip pull had a strip of red leather, I probably would have gotten this!




My BFF bought this Baguette Pouch. It can be worn 2 ways as it comes with 2 straps - a long leather strap and a shorter gold chain strap. Love the red zipper pull leather thingy!




Ah! The most iconic piece in this collection! I wish I didn't have a black mini peekaboo. Didn't make sense to get another black mini peekaboo! Almost caved though because I've always wanted a mini monster peekaboo!



My SA suggested I try the Baguette but I didn't like it. It was too stiff for my liking. I love the baguette but I think I need a baguette made of a softer material so it slouches.



Then my husband saw this and suggested I try this and when I tried it on, I knew it was the one! The Baguette Soft Trunk! It's smaller than the Baguette so it works! And it had that pop of red too! I LOVE IT!



Love that I can hand carry it, and I love the canvas strap that it comes with! Plus, it's a bag that I can share with my husband! So it's like half price! (the wonders of girl math) So of course, I had to buy it!



Went home and tried the strap on my peekaboo and it works so well! Makes my peekaboo so much more casual. And of course, the selleria leather matches my selleria peekaboo!



And the absolute BEST thing? It matches my shearling strap! For years, I've been looking for another Fendi bag to match this strap but so many Fendi bags have gold hardware. Finally, I found the perfect bag to match my strap because the Soft Trunk has silver hardware as well!

I'm sad I was late to the party back all those years back. But I did manage to find this little bag bug on the preloved market years ago.



Yes! It's defo time to bring all your monsters and bag bugs out to play again! They are more relevant than ever now. Another example of something coming full circle. And can I just say how much I love your bag bug??? I love the "meh!" look on its face! Perfect for days when I don't feel like talking to people hahaha!

You are never too late! There is one new bag bug for this CNY collection also. After all these years, almost 10 years indeed, the Fendi bags are still looking as good as new, in my opinion. It's the quality bag with fun appearance you can keep in the years to come.

Well said! I'm not too late! And you're right. Fendi quality is pretty impeccable! Yeah I saw the bag bug last week too. It's cute! And so fluffy! But pink is not my thing so I passed on it. I hope someone gets it and posts some photos here.

I just bought the monster eyes Soft Trunk too! Really couldn't resist — after the peekaboo, it's my favorite from this latest collection (agree with you about the baguette). Perfect, functional size And yes, I brought my bag bugs back out after all this time too!
