I am considering buying this beauty second hand as loved it when it was in the stores but felt it was too pricey for a Louboutin.

Maybe, if there is a Louboutin boutique where you live, one of the SA's could remember the original price. Have you thought about asking the question on the Christian Louboutin subforum?
