I have just received my dream bag " Polka Dot Tote" as you guys saw on my reveal (yesterday):yahoo:but she does not come with out issue..

She was very dirty and had stains and this how I have restored her thus far. I used the apple cleaner to remove the bulk of the dirt and stains, then I washed the lining with soap and water. I also took a soapy cotton rag and washed the leather to finish cleaning her. This all worked very well but I still have some issue and hope you all can help me..

Some parts of the bag has the top layer of the leather rubbed off. and some of the dirt stains are not coming off. So here are my questions..I

Can I color the Leather, wear the color has rubbed with what and how?

How can I handle the dirty stains that will not come off?

The last question is about the Creed. It is very light it can almost not be seen. Is that normal on this bag or the bags of the time?

I'm sorry your bag wasn't as perfect as you thought....I'm not sure about the creed. Did you get the bag authenticated? I saw the original pic you posted and the hangtag looks suspect to me (is there white in it or was that a weird camera angle?)

I did a search on leather repair stuff and came across this website. Doesn't hurt to try something right?

Hope this helps and she turns out gorgeous!

Thank you for the rapid reply. Those sites will really help.. Yes I authenticated the bag. I do it for all the bags I purchase, Authenticate this if my favorite site. The tag has white in it..

^ thats good you got it authenticated, unfortuantely you never know with some people if they're selling a fake and don't care (or dont know!). I hope you find a leather repair kit or some dye that will help your bag. From what I was reading, those things look pretty good! I also think if you do a search on leather dye, some girls on this forum have used dye on their bags and had great success! I'll see if I can find any threads that may help..............

Here is some leather aid that some other coachies have used. It protects and seals and colors all in one. I would suggest practicing first on something else....also, it changes the texture so you will want to color the entire bag.

I'd suggest some type of leather color w/ sealant in it. The spots you see are the untreated uncolored leather beneath, and in the least you need to get them protected. All the cleaning in the world won't protect that spot, and the conditioning will only help to make the 'brown' more apparent.
