Restoring puffiness? Hard to believe it might be possible.

I was searching for care products and stumbled upon this post re. restoring puffiness. I've never heard of it before and would love to hear your thoughts on the suggested method as well as experiences with the suggested products.

I have a hard time believing this can actually be done with a good result but lack technical skills re. leather to actually understand in details what the guy's suggesting. Surely much can be done to improve the look of dried leather but sounds unlikely that it will restore the original puff.

Any thoughts?
