Restoring Intrecciato Leather - Color

Hi All - I love love love my wallet but normal wear means all the corners and folds are fading as pictured. I've emailed Bottega to see what they would do, but in the meantime, do you recommend any restoration services? I want to use this wallet forever, just don't want it looking so shabby!

It’s hard to tell if the wallet has finish loss or is drying. You could try some leather conditioner. How old is your wallet?

I'm not sure. Bought pre-owned. I'd say it's a combination of both. I'm concerned about the unique color.

Leather conditioner may darken it a bit. It will look darker when first applied and then lighten as it dries. If it was me I’d go for it.

I recommend you send a quote to Modern Leather in NYC - they do the work for Bottega Veneta, and their prices are very reasonable. They generally respond quickly as well - I've had a number of BV items both repaired and refurbished.
