Dear BeenBurned,

Thank you for your timely & informative response. Wow! I'm so happy I checked with you first. I have enjoyed reading all the threads in my research & I learned so much. Great site.

If I wanted to sell this item cheaply, would “copy” plus the description be sufficient? Your thoughts or other ideas.

Thanks again.

ABSOLUTELY NOT !!!!!

Selling ANY counterfeit item in the US is a violation of US, state and federal laws that protect a company's or individual's copyrights and trademarks. It doesn't matter if you declare in foot-high letters that the item is fake, it's Coach's COPYRIGHTS and TRADEMARKS that are being violated just by the item's having any Coach names, logos, or legally registered and copyrighted trademarks on it.

The only way to sell it would be by permanently removing any and all Coach names, logos or emblems. In an all-leather purse that usually means cutting out the pocket with the creed and serial number, removing the hangtag, etc. On any items with C or Logo fabric or lining, that can't be done and the item should be destroyed or repurposed and all Coach marks removed.

BTW, PLEASE keep all questions regarding authenticity in the Authenticate this Coach thread in the Coach Shopping forum. Thanks. THIS thread is for Reference posts only.
