Hi, folks! I bought the small silver bone cuff in size small last year and realized I need it to be "widened" a bit this year. Unfortunately, I've been attempting to do so myself and fear I've warped it a bit. Does anyone have experience sending a bone cuff to Tiffany's for reshaping/bending to make a bit larger? (I love it so very much and wear it almost every day in the summer, and I realize sending it out will mean I'm without it for a number of weeks.) Thanks so much!

It's good that you asked and aren't continuing to adjust it yourself (bad idea). Solid metal cuffs can be carefully opened up by a trusted jewelry professional, not necessarily at Tiffany. It will require your wrist there in person for correct sizing with distortion, and that's the issue re sending it off. As in, don't. Go in person; it will be a very quick adjustment.

^oops I meant to type "without" distortion! Of course!
Thank you so much! I did take it to Tiffany’s, and they adjusted it just slightly but said they would send it out for anything further. To confirm, you don’t recommend having T send it out? I did wonder how they would shape it to fit me if sent out. Thank you again!

I want to understand what they did for you. Did the "just slightly" solve the problem? If not, they aren't equipped to do an adjustment in house, which any competent jeweler who works in silver could, unless it's extraordinarily heavy. Is it?

To send it out successfully would mean they took meticulous measurements and ideally did a sketch of the wrist profile for someone to work with (round wrist bone vs. an oval/flatter one makes a difference in sizing). What did they do? "Nothing" would be unacceptable.

I am ecstatic to say that Tiffany was able to reshape my cuff in house at the store. Four tries, but it’s perfect now. @jellyv they expressed the same concern you did about sending it out in terms of figuring out the right areas that needed reshaping. They even polished and cleaned out some deep scuffs while it was in the back. So very happy as always with Tiffany service.
