Reselling LV pieces

Have few Louis Vuitton pieces which I am planning to resell.
I am understanding that buyers are concerned about authenticity.

Does anyone know if you are meant to give the buyer the receipt? In case they need to prove authenticity to LV in the future.
I am concerned about them taking my personal information or using my authentic receipt to sell fake replicas.

Some people give receipts or copies of the receipt. Some don’t. Some people ask for a bunch of pictures and get the item authenticated as well.

I work in legal as well (US). If someone wants your information they will get it. I have purchased a couple things preloved. I have receipts for everything. I need to submit original or copies of original receipts to my insurance company per my insurance policy.

I would probably use white out to cover personal information and then give a photocopy if it is requested. You don’t have to as some buyers don’t care if they have a receipt or not.

I keep receipts for everything I buy new from LV, so any time I‘ve sold an item that was purchased by me directly from LV, I’ve included a photocopy of the receipt. Never the original. This is often because there’s been more than one item on the receipt. I use post-it notes to cover my personal information before photocopying.

Having said that, receipts do not prove authenticity nor are they required by LV for repairs etc. I have always just included a copy when selling because I know it appeals to some buyers. I’ve seen fakes for sale with receipts included — sometimes a fake receipt, sometimes what appears to be a genuine receipt but with a fake item, and sometimes a receipt for a totally different item to what is being sold!

If am a buyer I would love to see the receipt or having one with my purchase. Add more security but again, could be fake receipt. But I still wants them. I don't care much of your personal information beside the item name, LV store.
