reseller price question

In my trying to familiarize myself with purchasing an H bag so I have ventured into the authenticate this thread and approved reseller thread. I noticed many bags from resellers are priced higher than what someone would pay from a H store new. I would understand this if the color was a desirable, rested color. Why such high prices? For instance ;
A 35 Black togo Birkin PH $15,500.00 USD new

I may be incorrect [I am new here], but does this seem high for a bag from a reseller? Why not just buy from H?

Very desirable colour and hardware. You can get it from the boutique but you may need to wait awhile. Some people want it now and are willing to pay extra.

Supply and demand.

Resellers command such high prices simply because they can and people will pay.

Typically, reseller prices on new, unused bags are a fair bit higher than from the H boutique for reasons described above. However, for pre-owned bags they are often lower, and in some instances quite a bit lower (depending upon age and condition), unless the bag is particularly rare. It is possible to get a very close to new bag from a reputable reseller for less than retail. HTH!
