Hi I am going to Hong Kong in 2 weeks time and would love to visit some re-sellers' shops there. But in fear of fakes, can anyone recommend some good reputable H re-sellers? Thanks a million in advance!

I know you have a lot more Hermes knowledge than I have, but in an unknown city, I think it would probably be best to stay to the H boutique itself, no?

I would hate to have you buy a super fake unknowingly.

Let-trade is based in HK, I don't think they have a store thou. An office, maybe. A tpfer has gone in person to inspect a specific bag that she wanted to buy, so maybe the situation is different. No harm writing them and asking if you can visit.

I won't recommend milan station, etc, unless you are very very good at discerning fakes.

Totally agree about not recommending Milan Station. I have been to a store in HK and saw many fakes.

In terms of the H stores in HK, I found the staff at the Peninsula Hotel store to be incredibly helpful.

Than you all for your information!

Sophistry, sorry I didn't make myself clear. I would love to buy everything from the boutique but I am looking for exotic/vintage/discountinued hard to come by items. For more common stocks, I can fairly confidently say I may be able to spot the fakes but for the unusual gems, I am not sure since I hardly seen any IRL.

My original plan was to go to Japan. But since that's been put on hold, and I have already booked trip to HK to visit friends, I thought why not have a look there. However based on the replies here, seems like HK is minefields of fakes. Must treat with caution. :thinkin::thinkin:

That would be my choice too. I didn't realize they actually had a shop. I think they are very reputable.

also regarding the fakes I know when people sell them bags they examine the bags really in detail and thoroughly so if it was fake they would not pay that much money to purchase a fake bag. They pay the bag seller above market price and re-sell that bag for an even MORE ridiculous price.
