So this may be a silly question, but I’m in Canada and an ad for a local auction house just popped up on my Facebook saying they have over 60 designer purses coming up for auction this Saturday. They show a small video and while you can’t clearly see them all, there are some obvious fakes. Either Mislabelled (Lous Vuitton) or just don’t look quite right. I have a hard time believing all these bags “came out of storage” and are authentic.
I noticed a couple people trying to call them out in the comments but the auction house just redirected them to links of the brands of bags- somehow this proves it’s legit? And a lot of others very excited at the possibility of getting an inexpensive designer handbag who obviously don’t know any better.
Part of me is annoyed and part of me feels bad for all these ladies about to be duped.
Is this something that is worth reporting? It’s happening in two days so I’m not even sure anybody would move on it quickly enough. Who would it get reported to?
