I bought a bag from Lo & Sons and was very surprised to discover that a bag they sell as a travel bag (the OG) isn't lock-able. The zipper pulls are large but solid, with no way to thread a lock through them. I don't understand the logic of creating a travel bag that cannot be locked and while I like the bag, that won't work for my purposes.

I was wondering if anyone has had success with replacing zipper pulls - I was thinking I might be able to find something online with a hole large enough that I could thread a small lock through it.

If anyone has done this - or is in NYC and can recommend a repair shop that might be able to inexpensively do it - I would love some feedback. I have a couple of weeks to decide if I should keep or return the bag and while I like it, it won't work for me as a travel bag if I cannot lock it.

Thanks!

I've replaced zipper pulls on jackets but never a handbag. I assume the technique is the same. You need to snip the end of the zipper or the stitching holding it in place in order to thread a new pull onto it, then stitch it back up. And of course you need to make sure the new pull is the same width as the old one. I usually go to a sewing store with the garment and find a cheap zipper with an appropriate pull that I can, excuse the pun, pull off.

Could you find someone to drill a hole in the current zipper pull and add a pull like this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/686905...ull&ref=shop_items_search_1&frs=1&crt=1&sts=1
