I have a gorgeous Pearly Bronze Velo that I bought used. The leather is beautiful but the handle laces are in sad shape. I've read the info about replacing them myself but I can't seem to find the right laces. Wrong color or too thin...I've returned several sets. From what I've seen, several leathers use the same greige laces. But where to find?

Check out the care and maintenance thread, I know there’s info there.

Oh yes, that's what I did in the beginning and how I wound up getting cord that was too narrow. The Japanese waxed cord may be great for double corded laces but 2.5mm isn't the right size for a single cord. I think I'll try macrame cord next.

I do wish the care and maintenance threads were combined into one thread that could be stickied. I always overlook the sub-menu. I remember when the authenticate thread was over there. Drove me crazy until it was moved.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to doubt the authenticity of your bag. I love the color.

I actually own a velo but haven’t carried it yet. Maybe I need to break it out.
Yes, the color is gorgeous. My favorite neutral metallic. Subtle and versatile. Velo is the perfect size for me so this is probably the bag I turn to most often.
