Replacement Flamenco strap?

I have an older Flamenco with the long adjustable strap, but it doesn’t allow the option of wearing as a shoulder bag. Does anyone know how to shorten this strap, or if there’s a way to replace it with the newer version?

you can shorten it by "braiding" it. i see that it's quite a common way to make it shoulder length. you can google it, there are some videos showing how to do it.
